“Unless there is an immediate need, it might be worthwhile to wait before getting a reverse mortgage loan,” Belling said.

“A reverse mortgage is a major, fairly complicated transaction. It is not a decision that should be made quickly,” said Bronwyn Belling, reverse mortgage specialist from the AARP Foundation.
